Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jaintia Hills is an innovative science based institution sponsored by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research, New Delhi and was established by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Meghalaya as a Host Organization to carry forward in implementing the mandates of KVK in the district by applying the principles of “Teaching by doing” and “Learning by doing”. It is presently being housed at the state department Farmer’s Training Institute, Rymphum, Jowai which is about 100 meter distance from the National Highway 44 on the way from Jowai to Silchar.
